Held on every full moon, the lantern festival in Hoi An is not quite as exciting as it may sound! The narrow roads are so packed that moving is almost an impossibility, every restaurant and street stall is overflowing, pick pockets are out in full force and in the morning it looks like a dumper truck has emptied its load in the river!
